Dr. Alexey Root

Dr. Alexey Root taught "The Knight's Can't Wait" which is from her book Science, Math, Checkmate: 32 Chess Activities for Inquiry and Problem Solving to beginning and intermediate students at St. Vincent’s School.

The advanced students worked individually on solving a knight's tour on blank diagrams. Dr. Root tested one student at a time on the King and Queen vs. King checkmate and, for the those who passed that checkmate, harder basic endgame checkmates.
